Sara moved into a neighborhood filled with little boys. There are eleven within spitting distance of her house. The biggest share of them are five and under. Her trampoline is a magnet. There is hardly jumping room at times. This morning ten of the boys and their mothers went to BYU to the MOA or Museum of Art. There is a Wilbur Wick exhibit there and today was family day. Wilbur Wick is the author or creator of I Spy. I didn't know anything about how the books are made until today. Looking at the books you would think they were computer generated art. That is not the case. Every page is created and then photographed. Very amazing art. The museum was full of kids and moms..and one grandmother at least and one cousin, Aleisha!
While we looking at an exhibit, one of Luke's preschool friends noticed him and came running over to say hello. Only she didn't just say hello, she grabbed him and hugged him with her arms clamped around him and said "I've missed you! Luke's response was "I'm 5! When we got home, we told Gramps about her and he told Luke, he must be a ladies man! He will need to practice his responses or it won't get him very far.
If we had the patience we would have waited in line to have faces painted and to make block castles and blow big bubbles, but we didn't. There were way too many children! Luke especially liked one exhibit that was packing eggs and blowers. There was a big pile of white packing eggs in the corner of a black room and then blowers came on and blew them up to the ceiling. The kids..especially Luke went crazy jumping and clapping as long as the blower was on and waited impatiently stamping their feet and clapping trying to get the blowers to go again. I had to drag him away with a promise to bring him back another time. I took the camera but didn't take one picture so there is not proof of the adventure, but we did buy an I Spy book with a lighted spy glass and are now trying to find all of the items.
We already have made more plans to visit the dinosaur museum and the Bean museum this summer with all of our neighbor boys. I guess there are advantages to living here!
