Aleisha is banged up but ok.

Aleisha and friends Tammy and Malena were coming home from a Relief Society activity Thursday night and were hit by a drunk driver. Aleisha was driving her trusty Ford Escort, they all had seat belts on and there was a driver"s side air bag. All things that helped save them from even more injury. The EMTs cut the top of the car off to get them out. After a couple of really scary phone calls with hysterics involved, we found out they were all injured but stable and talking. Aleisha has a broken leg just above her ankle and a deep gash on her knee. She had surgery involving a metal plate and what look like deck screws on Friday. her surgeon brought out x-rays for us to see after he had finished putting her back together.  The break was very visible even to her blind grandmother.  We are very grateful for medical people who know how to fix bodies.  She was released from the hospital Sunday and is camped out on Sara's couch until Thursday when her mom goes home and we will take her to Delta for a few days.  She won't be going back to work for at least two weeks and will be using crutches for six weeks.

Tammy has a damaged liver and a broken spine. She is going to be ok. Malena has a broken leg too but no surgery, metal plates or deck screws.

Glad everyone is on the mend.
I sure don't want any deck screws anywhere near me.
Hang in there Aleisha!
