Mother's, count your children!

When you go on a family activity, you should bring everyone home. That should be a rule, a law, a goal. You would think that with two mothers, one grandmother and one aunt that we could be responsible enough to count the kids before we left Jumping Jacks. But apparently not. We had just all unloaded the kids from the cars when Amy realized we were short one, Tyson! She jumped back in her car and raced back. Just as Sara was looking up the number of Jumping Jacks, they called to tell her they had a very upset little boy there. When we were getting everyone's shoes on and loading into the car, Tyson decided to hide and we left him.

Jennie could relate to Tyson's experience. She remembers being left at home alone when she was three. We were loading up the car and I asked if everyone had a jacket. She didn't so I sent her in to get one and then we left! She remembers calling Deb telling her that her family left her. We were about to the airport before we realized she was missing. She says she was scarred for life.
Carrie wasn't with us at Jumping Jacks, she was at a bridal shower. That will teach her to trust her siblings and her mother with her children.
Jumping Jacks was really fun for the kids. They chased each other, jumped and jumped for an hour and a half. Cameron was sopping wet with sweat!
Chase got a rock tumbler for Christmas and wanted Gramps to supply him with some rocks from Delta. He has enough now for a year or so of rock tumbling.

That is Tyson in the orange striped shirt. How could anyone forget such a cute little guy? Carson, Cameron, Reese, Chase in front and Luke, Easton and Allie in back.
Tyson wasn't the only child forgotten by a parent on Saturday. Carson went to basketball practice or it might have been a game and when Sean went to pick him up he couldn't find him. The gym was empty and no cars in the parking lot. Sean said he was only five minutes late. hum.....Carson was pretty upset by the time they found each other. Word to the wise...teach your children your phone number! Carson didn't know either of his parent's phone number.
Reese wanted me to take her picture. So I did. "Let me see, let me see! Oh, it is beautiful!" She is such a girl!
We topped off the day with the girls fixing a great dinner, and then watching the Cougars beat the Utes! A really good day.

Well, at least it wasn't Yellow Stone or dance practice! I mean I've heard about parents doing things like that! I'm sure I wouldn't know!
